I bought a T.M. Design Works chain slider kit. I have to say, these things are awesome and installation is super easy. I highly recommend them. you don't even have to remove the swingarm to install them.

Did you get the chain guide with dual rollers and chain guide or just the slide..? Any of there products are worth it imo.. I have sold allot of T.M Design products and I agree with you, they are great.. They used to have another style for the blaster where you had to remove the swing arm to install but they now have the new ones. :D. Actually the older styles they still have and are on clearance direct from T.M.. I think 15$ (but you have to take the swinger off for those ones) The new style goes right on.. The material they make these out of is different than any other manufacturer I have seen . It wears very well and is oil impregnated. There A arm bushings are awesome as well. The best imo...

the kit I picked up has the front chain slide, the two chain rollers(which I cant use) and the rear chain guide with an integrated roller. I think the rear chain guide with roller is pretty sweet.

The TM rear guides seemed too large to run with a stock skid plate. I had to face it forward to fit, but destroyed it on a rock within a few rides. Its back to stock for me, I've had them last for years.

im thinking of running skid plates for the frame and the swingarm. think an aftermarket skid will fit around the chain guide?

the only luck i've had with both fitting properly is with the stock guide and skid plate.
after market skid plates sit too tight to the swinger for the guide to fit.
i've been turning the guides around to face forward with ok results

what about trimming the skid plate around the guide?

What's the measurement between your skid plate and the chain? I have a couple guides left that fit onto the skid plate itself (just need to drill 2 small holes in skid plate) If its close to one of the few I have left ill send you one.. You hooked me up back when I needed something so if you want one let me know..

i've been running stock skid plates, they last longer than the aluminum ones, at least here.
and i can get 6 or 8 of them for the price of one aluminum, my last aluminum one was destroyed within 2 weeks

the actual stock style chain guide is to keep sticks and rocks from entering between the chain and sprocket, or knocking the chain sideways off the sprocket.
the style you're talking about just keeps the chain from rubbing the skidplate

i don't have a skid plate as of yet. its last on my list of things yet needed. i will keep it in mind when i get to that point.

i run stock swinger skids, they last longer than the expensive aluminum ones, at least here they do

the stock swinger skid was a huge reason i totaled my first blaster and almost put me in the ground. i was going full speed into the woods and a cut down spling caught the skid and caused me to go into a tree. . i went over the bars head first and just missed hitting the tree with my head. i went in between two trees actually. i have not run a stock skid plate since. i think the aftermarket onea fit tighter and dont jang down like stockers.. on a side note, i did not see the cut saplings and it was in a local riding orv park.

I have the armadillo skid plate from rocky.

Held up great so far, the chain and sprocket are within half inch of the plate.
The front of the plate was a little higher, and my chain bounced on it occasionally, so i turned the stock slide around (ground it a little to fit)
