the chain on my 03 blaster keeps losing tension and popping off and im not sure why it keeps doing it. whenever i tighten the chain i make sure ALL of the bolts are tightened and when i go to re tighten the chain the bolts are just as tight. anyone know how i can fix this?

Are your swingarm or axle bearings very loose? This will cause excessive chain wear due to misalignment, making it seem like your chain is getting loose, but is in fact wearing. A little wear on 120+ pins adds up to a lot of stretch.

Check the carrier and swing arm mount bearings and check for any swing arm cracks or broken welds. Check to to see if the carrier mount brakets are not bent and making the carrier out of line. Step back and take a good look at how the chain lines up with the sproket. Look to see how strait the rear sproket lines up with the chain running to the motor.

when i first got it the axle was pretty loose and we tightened it and now the sprocket has some play so im gunna tighten it up and maybe take a link out? or should i just buy a new chain?

i had an issue similar to yours. take your carrier off the swingarm and check the carrier mounting holes. mine got egg shaped out and no matter what i couldnt get it to stay till i got a new carrier.

ill try it thanks. I:I

Ive seen this happen only once and I suspect that this is what is going on as 98blaster+4 said and was told by my boss in turn that this is a very rare problem for blasters that their bearings will get water inside the left side carrier bearing and speed the process this along. This needs to be checked out and addressed. What I did is add whats called a tappet valve so that your swinger can accept the grease that will push the contaminates out Via v the bearings and your swinger/sprocket will stay in line from now on
