whats up guys i need to take a link out of my chain to hold me off for a lil bit , but the master link wont come off. once u remove the clip and attempt to pop the masterlink off , looks like its grinded on so it cant be removed with out destorying the masterlink which is no big deal. What size is the factory chain? so i can get a new link

this is a bad idea, as once a chain is stretched beyong the stock adjustments, it is stretched past the point of mating to the sprockets correctly,
removing a link to make it fit, will wear out both sprockets very quickly and end up costing more than just buying a chain to begin with

and i tried this once, you're actually rmoving 2 links, an inner and an outer, it was so tight i had to roll it on, too tight of a chain not only wears sprockets but also will wear the output shaft seal, costing even more money in the end

i say, if ya can't afford an $18 chain, wait till you can and avoid further hassles.

$18 shipped..............

the chain thats on my bike was actaully got too long to begin with so it was almost adjusted all the way out from the start. i just contacted the previous owner

then cut away bro, it needed it to begin with,
my post had to do with chains stretched past the service limit
