proof that the stock carrier is no good for serious jumping haha.. i guess its time for a round house

yeah im pretty picky about torque on every bolt nut and screw. what happened is it bent and sheered of the the nut and threads then the head backed out and the sprocket hub ate it for dinner

Wow, lucky your engine cases weren't hit when that chain came off! Looks like minimal damage, tho...Some Loctite on the new nuts and bolts and I doubt it will happen again, even to the stock carrier setup.

worst i had was i lost the nut, but that was when i was young and the first rebuild, didnt torque the nut, luckily i spotted it in the bush and used a wheel nut to replace the lost one. im lucky the bolt didnt back out!

same exact thing happend to mine about a month ago, ridin along only goin about 10 and she just locked up the back brakes, bolt went right through the sprocket and bent the chain adjusters, the bolt made a perfect bend 90 degrees haha, i have no idea how it happend since the nuts were tight

that doesnt look like the stock bolt, if i'm not mistaken the stock one has a flange head, maybe that was a weaker hardness bolt ??????

also, i've switched to all nylock nuts on most bolts on both my blasters, especially those 2 and the big swingarm pivot bolt, after my sons upper carrier nut came off and almost did the same thing
