how popular are keihin 28pwk carbs and 35 a/s carbs in the blaster area? i repair ATV's and stuff locally and often come across smaller carbs in good to like new condition. ive been letting them go fully set up with base jetting and a cable for 80$ to 120$ depending on the work being done to them.

im more well known in the 250r and exriders circles but these smaller bore carbs don't do a lot of good there. i also come across 30mm round slide and tmx mikuni carbs fairly regularly but i don't like mikuni so i all but give them away, they may or may not include a cable and may or may not have usable jets for your aplication but are always in good condition.

anyway if you guys think this is something you would be interested in post in here, i use this site a lot for blaster info cuz i redo a lot of blasters in my area, they are a very popular intro quad out here and come and go at quite a low cost. figured i would try and offer something back to the blaster community.

thanks guys.

also this is not a FOR SALE thread. this is just asking how popular these mods are for blasters, gauging interest.

i should have made it a pole, maybe a mod can i dont think i can after the thread is made?
keihin carb
mikuni carb
stock carb
whats a carb?

or something along those lines.

also i usually include carb mount air cleaners. and hears what i normally do with mikunis.

*ebay link deleted*

i started that auction at 49$ no reserve. also you can check out my feedback, ive been selling on ebay since most of you were in diapers i would bet.

I guess I'm the strange one of the bunch. I run a 34mm Mikuni TM carb on my Blaster and like it. I am still figuring out which needle runs best with my engine combo, but for now I am OK with it still being slightly rich. Most of the guys on this forum seem to prefer Keihin carbs, 28-35mm. I have nothing against Keihin...I used to run a 28mm PWK myself...but I like trying new things others are afraid to do.

My general opinion is, a 28mm PWK carb is a nice upgrade for a stock/lightly ported Blaster engine. 32-34mm carbs run well on heavily-ported/head modded stock cylinder Blaster engines. And if you step up to a 240 BBK, you need a 35mm or 36mm carb.

Most guys like the PWK series. I know a couple who run PJ's. Several guys like their stock Mikuni VM units just fine. I'm a Mikuni TM kind of guy. It varies.

If you are implying in your posts that you have some of these carbs for a resonable price, I'd become a Supporting Member and start selling some. You will have some interest here.

exactly, this is looking like a spam post to your ebay sales, which actually is fine to post "good deals", if it's in the right section/thread.........

http://www.blasterforum.com/off-topic-7/good-deals-14729/

if you want to actually sale them on here, and save on ebay fees, then you'll need 300 posts, or pay the $10 supporting fee...............
http://www.blasterforum.com/payments.php
and have 30 posts

sorry i will remove it, i was actually just showing it so my feedback could be seen and as an example of what i have.... i will just post a pic in a minute.

no need to remove it bro,
just put your future "good deals" in that "good deals" thread
or pay the $10 and sale away !!!!I:I

btw....$9.99 starting price is a good deal !

this is an EXAMPLE just posting that i am serious and do move a lot of carbs. i am just garnering interest and not currently trying to sell anything. if there seems to be enough interest i have no problem becoming a supporting member and selling through the proper channels.

i'd say you could make a few bucks, and save a few at the same time (ebay fees), by selling on here

now...find me a good 35mm airstryker quadvent,
then PM me I:I

most of the A/S carbs i get are short body. and the regular body ones i get i sale for like 250$ on other places, because i can. but really there is no reason to not use a short body, all it means is getting a thicker reed spacer, or using 2 reed spacers, or using a silicone adapter on the far side of the carb.

or go clamp on and ditch the airbox, its what all the cool kids are doing. i made a plate for the airbox in my wifes blaster and we carry our drinks in it.

also what features would you guys want?
included cable
included clamp on
included baseline jets
extra jets

or just options for this stuff as needed?

cable included if it will work for our thumb throttles ?
baseline jetting.
other options/jets as needed, you're not gonna find too many peeps on here running direct clamp-ons
