Hey guys I'm new to the blaster game. I have been riding forever first bike was a yz80 then I got a 50 for fun around the neighbor hood then soonly after a kx125,xr70,cr80,cr125 and a kx250 so I'm used to the bikes, but I recently picked up a beautiful 04 blaster from a buddy it ran pretty good but it seemed like it wasnt gettin gas when ever I would wheelie it unless I stayed in powerband. so I took the carb off to clean it and now it will idle but when I give it gas it sputters I checked that tors system and that's not it considering it's makes the problem worst when it's engaged.. I had this problem with my xr70 before when the main jet fell out some how so I took the carb back off adjusted the float to give it more gas and still nothing... Im not sure but should there be a washer under the main jet that provides space for the gas to flow or something because when I took the carb apart my buddy noticed a washer but I figured mayb it was from a brake line I replaced or something. Sorry for such a long write up but this problem stopped me from going riding today so I'm pretty stressed out thanks any help would be great

Ps. I tried a new plug already and the gas out the petcock flows fine also... Thanks guys

Have you cleaned out air filter or anything? Mine ran funny once and then I opened up the air box and a mouse made a nest of insulation that filled my air box and wasn't running right lol

Yea its fine the bike ran decent til I took the Carb apart I feel like an idiot consering I usually can clean and rebuild a Carb in my sleep

yes, yes, yes that washer goes under the main jet !!!!!

Awwww fml I knew it I'm about to drag the wife into the garage and I'll let yu guys know if it's fixes it

Ok guys new update I looked everywhere and I can't find that washer so I went down to the local dealer and had to order one so my new toy will be a sitting duck till next week :(

Ok guys so I found a washer that fit perfect i put it in and she revved up like she should but won't hit powerband :( the new plug I out it is one of my of my extras from my kx250 it'd a ngk Br8hs the blaster came with a champion n4c Which freaked me out

unplug the e-brake sensor and make sure the TORS is completely disconnected. Also did you assemble the carb slide correctly? Plug gap correct? (how to vid in the link in my sig)

I didn't want to take off the tors but if I have to I will I'm gonna put a new plug that is correct and gapped right nd see what happens

Ok guys another update I put a new plug in and it ran the same so I turned my air/fuel screw out half a turn and it hit powerband and then sputtered so I turned it out another Half turn and boom it was all back again she is running 100% again I havent tried to wheelie it yet because it 9:55am and they neighbors hate me for all my other toys so I'll have to weight til tommorow on my day off but so far so great thanks for all your help guys

What exactly does that washer under the main jet do? I rebuilt my carb about a few months ago and noticed it was missing, but I still put it back together without 1 and seems to be running ok, except for the float sticking sometimes. Is this the result of the missing washer? Thanks
