okkk. i was having issues starting the blaster this morning. took carb apart was good. checked reeds..perfect. good plug. the only way it starts is if i hold my hand over the back of the carb and kick it till my hand is soaked with gas then it starts idles and runs great. checked compresion have 130+. i just dont understand why it does this? is it my carb?

damn if only i could remember what this problem is, if im correct what your doing has the same effect as using the choke, i think its something with the airflow, check and see how the air filter looks

yeah put new jets in it rebuilt the carb, set my float. took exhaust off check for scratches same with intake checked compresion had like 140psi reeds were perfect no gaps and snapped right back into place new plug. now what does that thing do that kinda holds onto the cap on the carb? it looks like it should adjust or something. idk. it runs great as soon as it starts and will start back up first kick after warmed up

new 93 octane gas..old plug looked kinda rich but still in the good ranger. the plug come out wet. and has great spark. i mean i just cant figure this out. o and yeah i guess its the clamp that just keeps the cap tight haha

nah its that thing right next to the choke thats held on with a phillips screw that goes up to the carb cap thing

im having the same exact problem dude the only way i can start it is have my buddy tow me with his quad in 4th gear and pop start it then it runs great? im freakin stumped

Did you guys check your reeds real good for even the tiniest little gaps between the reeds and the cage and if you have dual stage reeds you have to check the at the cage and where the reeds meet.
