I know this has been gone over a million times. But here goes.......

I just put some gas in the Blaster and its draining out through the hose on the bottum of the carb. Just shut the petcock to stop it.

Whats wrong? float stuck? Kinda pissed want to ride and now I have to clean up gas all over my patio.

Carb is a Keihin 28mm its only a year old.

And yes the quad sat a couple months with a little race fuel in it.

Thanks for any help. I apoligize in advance for being lazy. I hate to search and I hate to work on the quad.

sounds like u prolly got a little crud clogging up your float needle best advice is to take the carb off and give it a good cleaning while you r in there be sure the adjustment is correct for that carb you can go to keihins web site to find the adjustment as well as instructions for doing so

RG gave the most likely culprit - stuff holding the needle open, clean carb well and reassemble.

Also possible - float adjustment, but not likely (setting=19mm to top of float when needle just touches float) ck while you are in there

Float stuck - tap float bowl with a hammer HANDLE, annoying but common enough.

Yeah, its either your needle or your float itself.

Ive noticed over time the float has a tendancy to be bent upward, allowing the fuel to fill past the mark and have to drain out.

royalt sent me a PWK28 that I had to adjust the float itself on. There didnt appear to be anything wrong with it, but the thing just spewed fuel out with the petcock open. Cleaned everything out, needle looked good, adjusted float a few times (trial and error) and finally got it working.

So yeah, as suggested, check your needle, check for gunk/debris in there, and clean it all out and if it still does the same thing, adjust your float by bending the tab itself in or out to the specifications royalt said.

Also, if you find debris and gunk in the carb itself, its indicitave of an external leak letting crud in, or you need to be cleaning your air filter more, or your fuel tank has crap in it and your filter isnt catching it (blasters dont even have a filter stock I dont think, so if you dont have one, you should get one)
