So I have spent way more then I wanted too on my blaster. After I got it all together and thought I had a fast machine, here I find a guy just a few blocks away that has a modded blaster. I stopped by and started asking questions. At first I thought that he might of been bsing me. He said his stock carb is bored out to 38mm and he's running something like 280cc's and making 44hp. He has a 14/38 sprocket and 17" tires. It looks stock sitting there. He said it will top out at 91 mph when he holds his choke out.
How the hell is he doing it? Even if he has more hp it shouldn't matter. What matters is your final drive gear ratio. Is it possible that there is a modified transmission in it? He doesn't know. He bought it like that from a kid that raced it professionally and guess he took second with it in some national competition.
How fast should a modded blaster go with stock trans, 14/38 sprockets and 20" tires???

down a cliff possibly. lol

that guy must be the dumbest motherfucker alive too.

He is bullshitting you up one side and down the other.

The stock carb cannot be bored out to 38mm, "holding out the choke" will cause a rich condition which will lower power output, a "regular" blaster engine cannot be made into a 280cc engine, and 14/38 gearing will MAYBE get you to 70 mph (on 20-21" tires) and I'm not sure where he came up with 17" tall tires but generally the shortest they go on a 8" rim is 18" and 18" tall tires with 14/38 gearing is nearly stock gear ratio (but with less tire weight obviously)

That guys doesnt know what he's talking about. But what did the bike look like? Usually a heavily modded blasty is known about around here...If you can get a pic.

Take many pics/vids!!!

I will take a vid with my phone. I will have to figure how to upload vids, haven't done that yet, just pics. He called today and said that its on Sunday from 1 to 5, cant wait.

With his specs, and a stock transmission the engine would have to rev out at 14,250 rpm, to reach 91mph.

Avery tall order for a Blaster motor.

"Man I want some of that stuff he is on,"

I think a blaster CAN do 90 Mph. With the right Motor Work, Pipe, Gearing Tires etc. It can happen. A While back a local guy clocked his Drag blaster were i ride and it reached 85-88. And it didn't take him to long to get there.

I can never seem to get past 88.8 MPH.....
