get the caliper higher than the master, so any air trapped in there flows up and out the bleeders, and flip or turn the caliper so the bleeder is facing upwards also, and if doing a dual piston like the gsxr ones i do, bleed the one furthest from the line first, then the closer one
and then yes, bleed them just like a car, pump a few times, hold pedal down, crack the bleeder, while still holding the pedal down tighten the bleeder
i have never had any luck with gravity bleeding, not even once
