This may be the most rudimentary of questions, but I was wondering as to the purpose of having two sets of brakes, one for the front, and a second for the rear? Is the rear really needed, and if so what are its main uses?

its nice to have both front and rear brakes, especially when you need to stop fast. rear brakes are used for getting the rear end to slide or break loose. the rear brake is also set up to have a parking brake on it.

Lol the purpose is probaly saftey i would think! If your backs fail u got ur fronts and the other way around......The parking brake is not nessecary alothough I use it when transporting my blaster in my truck cause i dont tie it down so it keeps it still a lil bit better. Now the fronts and rear brakes also do different things....The fronts are for one help u pull donuts and probaly stop u the fastest and the rears are gonna stop the turning of the rears in case of emergency or sumthin. lol i dont really know aht else to say never heard that question before lol

you dont look at me!

lol... too bad im gettin some.

acualy, scared the sh*t outa me riding this newly finished beast with no brakes at all. before the rebuild i atleast had sh*ty working mechanical fronts!
