Blasty 97 project strip down and rebuild..

I am thinking of a Metallic purple and gloss black theme as I will on a later stage be giving it to my wife when I get a Banshee. But I dont just want any purple or a plain purple, it must really shine and stand out. I think it will look great. Will polish a few parts to make it even more of a head-turner ..

Like the sound of the colours mate looking good

Howzit guys. its been a while sins I could carry on with the build. Been crazy bussy at work and everything. so finaly i can get back to the blaster.
Just a quick little update..
Stripped it down completely frame and all. I will be taking it to the sandblasters and then start with the painting I:I
Also changed the colour theme, since the wife dont really mind what colour it is.
She just want to drive it. So I will be spraying it a Matt black and white theme, with some stickers here and there. Want it to look more mean then bling.

Okay so a while back i received the cylinder witch I had ordered along with a new piston kit. To my surprise it was not standard at all. I paid for a standard cyl. bored to .50, but the guy who sold it to me also did a port job on it for free.
Guess in this world you can still score now and then :D
They did a great job on the re-bore and porting, so i'm happy as hell!!
I have started to split the engine, and almost done with it. Will add some pics of it soon.

Guess who's back .. :p

After 2 years of taking up space in the garage, i'm finally finishing this build now.

Lol I know 2 years since I last updated!!! Its been hectic. Had so much on my plate, with moving, and family and other projects that the blaster was covered and left as is where I last ended up until now January 2015.
I've done a couple of things since the start of the new year so far being tearing into the engine completely and a couple of other stuff.
Keep in mind this build is sort of, kind of a budget build or lets call it a clean up everything and refresh

Yes and I have changed my mind a million times over paint ideas colours and what not!
But I finally decided

So here we go ..

Took the frame for sand blasting and then powdered Matt Black

Depends on the company and if paint and prep are included but the price seems to be in the $150-300 (U.S) range. Add a little more if for something like candy colors or anodized

Tried to knock the swinger bearings out... but DAMME their tight. So I lend my friend's blow torch to heat the tubes up a bit, and took only one knock for each bearing to get em out!
