Blaster with GSXR1000 Engine.

Actually, it cannot be done....

If you look very closely, there's an "extension" in that frame. The tank isn't sitting up against the steering stem, it's back about 8-10".

Sorry to burst everyone's pipe dreams, but a 1k class street bike motor inside the blaster chassis isn't very likely, the blaster frame is just too slanted to allow the motor to "sit up" like they're designed to.

79xs's and Justin Naekel's (sorry for the misspelling) shoehorns are probably as close as we're going to get to having "street bike" engines in an actual blaster frame.

IMO that is soooo gay, sure it makes power but those dunes are about the only place u canplay with that a little.. also that was the weakest attemp at a "race" i have ever seen a banshee make

y people gotta be hatin on other ppls projects i see it all the time.....give them props for doing something cool and making it work

Well yeah they must have had good fabrication skills and a great motivation but still, why ruin two good things to make something completely useless.

no misspelling, you got it - your better off than most telemarketers that call, lol.

And I think this is pretty cool. dogging on that is like bashing someone that built a drag racing car. Yeah it may be good for straight lines only but thats what it was built for. Obviously thats what this was built for. Are you going to take it on some tight trails? probably not. could it be done, sure with some effort but it was obviously built for drags or just flat out speed so that being the case, MAD PROPS to that guy.

Mine probably wasnt the smartest build either but I had my reasons (wanted 4 stroke and e-start for the wife) and ninja 250 motors are plentiful so thats the route I took. Its heavy and clumsey now, but it has a noteable increase in overall performance and now that its geared, it will go anywhere with relative ease, but there are a ton of other options I could have done to be "better" but this one suited my needs best.

dont dog on the guy. If it wasnt for people like me, 79xs and this guy (and most of the redneck engineers out there too) we would all be riding around in horse and buggy and going to the outside to the outhouse to take a crap still.

Not my cup-o-tea but to each their own. looks like it runs good and nice fab work.

^Thanks for the input Justin. I knew that in order for the 1K street bike motor to fit in there, heavy modification to the frame was a must. Plus, that frame is specifically made for a 200cc air cooled 2 stroke, not a gixxer 1000 lol. It must crack very often and probably only fun for the first few rides, because it wont last in that thing lol. But I give him props for it!!!!
