My newest project is a 2002 with a mx port and polish, boysen reeds, lid off and my problem is it idles really high and severly bogs when i touch the throttle from idle, i wants to quit because it bogs out so bad and if i get it going it bogs so bad when in 1-3 gears

any help would be great i want to get back riding again.....

oh btw main jet is 340 and pilot is 30

sounds like an airleak to me, that is if the tors and brake systems have been removed or confirmed functioning properly

check for spark, and fuel flow outta the petcock, new b8es plug, completely disassemble and clean carb, confirm or set the float height, clean/re-oil filter, check reeds,
leakdown test, compression test
and report back

thats correct, main = 3/4 throttle and above, but a 240 main is more like it for a stock set-up

clean that carb, pilot jet and airscrew passages especially, and the other above mentioned items
leakdown test, check reeds

wouldnt the port and polish need higher main jet?

not sure, don't know anyone running that, but didnt spring for a pipe, and the other mods needed to fully realize what the p&p can do
loose the stock pipe/carb, or the p&p ain't worth shizzle

ok guys got it running great again, rejetted 4 times to get it correct and ended up on a 310 main jet, and btw i found out that on of my boyesen reeds was broke off dumping fuel into the cylinder causing it to bog real bad.

great, we shoulda had you check the reeds from the start, but the obvious carb jetting problems had us blinded to other causes

did you do a plug chop to confirm that main jet ????
and since you had the intake and reeds off, a leakdown test is also advisable
