So i bought a yanaha the other day. (big mistake!) So here the deal, idrive it about 2 miles and it started nocking and clanging like crazy. stupid me pins it and it died. so now the i think the kick starter gear is locked up because it wont budge. then while getting pulled home at about 30mph i dropped it in first gear and the tires wouldnt spin! my buddy (my partner/mechanic) says this is a common problem with 4 strokes. remind me to never buy anything yanaha esspecialy a blaster again. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Buying a Yamaha was not the BIG mistake! Pinning the throttle when the motor started nocking and clanging like crazy, was a BIG mistake!

Your buddy, your partner/mechanic says this is a common problem with 4 strokes? The blaster is a 2 stroke!

i just figured out that it is a 2 stroke. omg i feel dum. the guy i bought it from said he put an oil block off kit on it. so nope its not a two stroke or else you would need to mix oil with the gas

so how do i fix my locked up kick starter?!?!

Yup, you need to premix the fuel yourself. If you ran strait gas than most likely that was the problem. Sounds like you seized it.

He also said it was a 4 stroke. Take a look into intake or exhaust port to see if piston is shot. No point in pulling clutch cover if top end is bad.
