As you can see in the picture, the little piece is male on both ends, and so is the larger piece of chain, so all they need is a masterlink.

Yeah, my 400ex takes 92 and i would much rather just use my old chain and then get a renthal chain when I have money. It was about 1 link short when i tried putting it on my 400ex....If i used a smaller front sprocket, it would fit, but i love my gearing right now...
