I definitely need help on this!!! So I recently got a 1988 blaster and was told that the engine was recently rebuilt. So the problem is that the blaster only starts by bump/push starting it. Only once I was able to start it by kicking it over. I don’t understand what could be wrong. I checked compression and it’s good, I also put a spark tester to it and the spark tester lit up. I don’t know what to do next. I don’t know if it could be a timing,Cdi or fuel problem. PLEASE HELP!!!

Not the CDi. Check coil and plug boot ohms. If plug is good it’s most likely reed valves.
However, since it’s supposedly re built, retorque head and cylinder nuts.
Also highly recommend a leak down test.
What did compression test show? How many pounds? Good is a relative term
