I checked out my blaster it has ran great but 2day I tried to start and nothing....I noticed the left side engine cover was leaking fuel (the cover gasket) not the carb at all.....I took off the overflow cap at the bottom of carb and a ton of fuel poored out also plug was soaked!!!! Help my 300ex is slow I want my blaster back lol thanks for help

If your carb is pouring out gas from the "overflow cap" as you call it, it sounds to me like you have crap in the metering seat, just take your carb apart and clean it. :)

The overflow at the bottom of carb has a rubber cap.....its not trash in the carb everythng was perfect started first kick sat 2 days and this

That should have a hose on it, not a rubber cap, so if the float does stick open it doesn't flood the engine. If gas is pouring out of it, that means your float isn't closing the metering jet for some reason, i.e. something in the seat, hole in the float, bad o ring on the jet, ect...

Blasterdad is right... there's something keeping your carb from sealing properly. I've even had this problem with riding lawnmowers. The entire engine has filled up with gas from a leaking carburetor during storage, and now won't start, even though the machine ran great less than a week ago. In your case, I'd be sure to store the bike with the fuel valve 'off', even after fixing the problem. It's just good practice.

Here's a little help on how to get the leak figured out and stopped...

Thanks for the info.....ill clean the carb and check the float....I popped the left engine cover and it was half full of fuel!!! I thnk the valve was left on by a buddy of mine.....that won't happen again
I figured the rubber cap on the overflow wasn't supposed to be there

so you are saying that your stator cover was half full of fuel? thats odd, how the hell did it get in there? :-/ :-/

sounds like you have a giant leak coming from that crank seal on the flywheel side, you need to replace that thing asap

Glad we're getting somewhere! When you check your carb, look in the metering jet seat, I once had a tiny piece of red plastic from the gas can stuck in mine making it do the same thing. Once fixed put a hose on the overflow & run it towards the back of the engine so it will drain on the ground.
As far as your motor being full of fuel, you might be able to remove your crank seal (sounds like you need to replace it anyway) and lay the quad on it's side to drain it.
Keep us posted on your progress! I:I

i sure that would fry a stater in seconds

I would definitely do a leak down test after you have got the motor drained out. Just in case you have leaks else where. The clutch side crank seal is usually the one that seems to go first.

Yeah that link was for blaster oil seal set. I have one coming for my sons blasty. and follow that link blasterdad posted. it will tell you all you need to know. Easy to build one. or I think you can buy one from holeshotman i believe for like $35.00. Correct me if I'm wrong fellas.
