I recently bought a 99 blaster that appears to be leaking oil were the head an jug meet , also with small revs out of gear i hear smoke pops and smoke comes out of somewere close to there , it sounds like a 4 stroke with bad valves although it rides fine i tried to tighten the bolts down they seem almost stripped i really didnt spend much time so ill have to look further into it wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen that could push me down the right path before i pull out all the stops , motor appears all stock , carb head echaust ect thanks , reply here or email ixiimpulseixi@gmail.com thanks a ton guys

You might want to lap the head on some 400 grit sandpaper to make sure it isn't warped.
For the stripped head studs you either drop some new ones in or add/remove a washer to put some good treads for your nut to tighten down on.

Well the headstuds are roughly the same diameter of a bic pen.
Goto the hardware store (True Value is great for that stuff) and use a pen as a reference.

It would also be a good idea to run a stone across your head if there are any rough/uneven spots, I've found it works much better than sandpaper.

I just looked deeper into it , the head studd is stripped out looks like someone used a vice grip on the stud when replacing it , anyone got a spar jug for sale? Less than .20 over or some head studs?

i have some used head studs you can have if you want them. if the studs have pulled out of the cylinder shoot me a PM and i will walk you thru how to fix that problem.

Thanks I just ordered one , and the old one twisted right out , I give you guys an update when I get the stud , who knows weather I'll need a new head jug gaskets ect , thanks for the replies
