Blaster For Predator 500???

@04BlasterBoy i see what your saying but your one person and i have not heard anybody else on here say anything else about them having tranny problems nothing against you at all but i like to listen to a majority vote if you know what i mean by your basically saying don't get it i don't care what anyone else says

a 300ex is not "bigger" than a blaster,
and is far slower

I had a yamaha warrior that is similar to a 300ex. They are nice trail quads but lack power. A blaster is much more fun in my opinion.

Ok so i think im gonna see if i get any other offers im gonna give it another week then if i don't find what im looking for i will keep it is there any mods to the blaster feel bigger

yep,
swingarms, a-arms, axles, wheel spacers, some have even moved the plastics back for more legroom

wheel spacers and extend your own swingarm, then move the plastics back

You might as well stick with your blaster bro the mods and combos are endless and theyre about the cheapest quad to build.

I too plan to get a 4 stroke but im holding out for a YFZ450 when funds are availible and prices come down.People here want an arm, leg, and your right nut for one.

you sure jump at every chance available telling peeps to trade their blasters on broken down 4 jokes,
maybe a 4 joke forum would be better for your tastes ????

The worst part of it all is he gives false hope for a problem thats much more involved than he really knows himself, i have rebuilt many 4 strokes and know how the timeing works on 4 strokes. I say if you dont know how to fix it yourself with 100% accuracy dont tell someone its an easy fix of just ajusting timeing when indeed it has a self adjuster and when the chain has so much slack the adjuster still lets the chain slap its time to tear down which means $$$$, not a real simple adjustment like he told the OP. I think he needs to stay on 4 joke sites and learn a little more engine info before he misguides someone to trade off a running blaster for a roller.

Never did say if it still runs? Reguardless most don't maintain a quad properly, and 4jokes are WAY more to repair when they go south X(.

Did a little search, cam chain $53, head gasket 28, chain tensioner 60, guide 35, new bare head $570 :o plus I would guess that it would require near comeplete teardown to replace just the chain X(.

Dare to say depending on what all is wrong you could spend more to repair this motor than you could buy a running Blasturd. :o

Don't get me wrong, there fun machines. Extend your swinger, maybe move plastic, bar riser or stem extension for larger "feel".

Most likely if it dont run it needs all you mentioned plus new valves, I normally take the whole head and have it redone on every 4 stroke to insure the valves seat perfect. I dont like doing engines unless i do it right. Four strokes to me aint that hard to rebuild but thats what i have the most experiance working on but to someone who never done valve work and timeing work it could be a challenge. When i do a 4 stroke motor i never worked on before i just call the shop to get some info on the exact timeing lineup and cam locations so i dont bend a valve on the first start. If a 4 stroke dont run it could be pricey if you cant do the work yourself, and that said its still expensive if you know how. There is no majical screw on any 4 stroke i ever worked on that will get a mis timed motor running again. Its an absurd recomendation to anyone who needs advise.

Ok thanks guys i appreciate it i think im gonna keep the blaster until i can get my money up to get a banshee

Good idea to keep the blaster but i must say dont shy away from a good running well maintained 4 stroke. Banshees are awsome and the one i have now is my second one but i still like the 4 stroke power too.I:I
