hello

i have a problem with my blaster
this is my setup
200cc p&p
doma racing exaust
mikuni VM32-33 carb
boysen power reeds
4''timing

the problem is in the carb a190main jet and bofore when i had te 26mm i had a 280 jet in the carb

but when i put on the 32mm i tried a 350 main but it's to big
i tried a 300 a 280 and its still to bigg even a 240 is to big

so i have tried it with the stock jet from the 32mm a 190 and the engine runs mutch better and it drives f**cking fast with such a smale main jet

the carb is a round slide mikuni and the spark is black to dark brown

i dont know what to do

sorry about my poor english i'm living in the netherlands

The plug sounds ok. As long as it isn't running lean, I think I would stick with it. Since you are running a bigger carb, you probably are still flowing more air/fuel mixture. The 190 is just making that a leaner mixture.

Try a fresh plug, rip it down the road and back, and check the plug again. If color is still good, then don't worry about it.

heey
tomorow i trey a fresh plug en rip it on the road(its road legal here in the netherlands i'v got a lince plate on it :P)
i''v polished my carb ,
but what a power diference between the 26mm carb :P
my blaster is just awaking from a deep sleep hahaha

I had the same problem with my Keihin 36mm carb. I had to jet WAY down to get it to run correctly.

Our jet sizings are way off each other, but heres perspective for you.

Im running a 28mm Keihin PWK right now. Im jetted down for altitude. Im running a 135 main and a 38 pilot.

When I was running a 36mm PWK I was running a 125 main and a 30 pilot. I was good on my pilot circuit, but my main was still too rich.

Its amazing how much more air flows, and when more air flows in a venturi system, it draws more fuel with it. So it makes your smaller jet into a larger jet with higher pressures.

The rule of jetting still applies. Your plug sounds like its reading correctly and youre good. Moreover, dont worry about dropping jet sizes for larger carbs, physics seems to back it up. I know my experience does.

Now Royalt here gets to deal with my 36mm carb jetting fun. The damn thing belongs to him now.

hey luni and royalt67 thnx
Thank you for your advice. I was afraid that he ran the wrong.
but the color of the spark is good dark brown black.
He drives good and much faster than the 26mm
i feel a lot more power in the midrange.
Only The blaster have a small dip @ higher rpm but this dip gone away at higer rpm than he shoots away like a rocket :P
also I have to adjust my air and the gas needle

thanks for you advice
now I know that I do not have to worry about it

hey guys I'm new to the forum and to blasters. I have a 2001 with fmf pipe and expansion, super stock reeds, no lid and K&n filter, and a 32-33mm mikuni round slide carb. my question is I'm having trouble getting it jetted. I tried a 190, 180, and 175 main jet with the needle on the 2nd little level (sorry dont know the proper name haha) and it still isnt responding like it should. Any help would be very much appreciated this has been a huge headache to tune :-/, so I'm hoping you guys can give me a better reference point, any suggestions? thanks guys
