big heavy stock heal guards !!!

i dont have the heel guard but i do have the steal foot pad or mini nerf (whatever you call it) on the back of the foot peg still and my foot used to rub on the tire everyonce in a while but im used to it now and it doesnt happen anymore

Mine didn't have the plastic part when I bought it so when I build my nerfs I am adding real heel catchers.
I don't want my bad ass alpinestars getting ate up by my tire.
Anyone who rides trails needs nerfs and heel catchers. Strong ones!

back in the day when I was like 15 or so I had my GF on the back of my LT 230 quadsport (with realtor rear tires). Good old quads have no such safety features!! She was wearing sandles, but I put a helmet on her! I took her for a hell ride wheelying down a long trail straight behind my house and high speed through a rocky trail that you have to turn and slide sideways a lot. Then I took her up an almost vertical cliff, no problem. Did all sorts of crazy stuff with her screaming on the back, no problem at all. Then we were on the way back to the house and I took a sharp right turn going pretty slowly, and the quad slowed down and she started yelling. For some reason she had put her foot down on the ground, which isn't a good thing when tires are right behind your foot!! It broke her ankle and she never did ballet again.

That was the only time I had an issue with the rear tires and getting hurt. No other quads, with or without guards have given me a problem since....

On my blasters the black plastic is ripped off...such happens in the trails. The metal things are there, and I'll keep em. As long as you keep your feet on the pegs, there shouldn't be a problem. If your feet like to slide off them a lot, file them sharper, or get aftermarket pegs, or you can just get the things that extend the peg a bit and turn up after the end of the peg....
