what up all, i was looking for some opinions, what do you all think of the big heavy stock healguards and the black plastic mud guards that attach to em? howmany of you keep these on?
how many take em off and just keep your plain foot pegs?
how many take em off and put on aftermarket heal guards?
if after market heal guards than does anyone have any good places to buy some cool ones for a reasonable price, i currently have a set of dg nerfs on mine with al lthe stock heal sh*t attached.

just looking for opinions !!! figgured it'll make for good conversation..
peace I:I

take off the black plastics and the heel guards and put a set of nerf bars...

i keep the plastic on (so my foot dont hit the tire)
and i also keep the heel guard on (so my foot dont slip of the peg and get eaten by the tire)

Thats the same thing I was thinking when I put mine back on. I didnt have the plastic piece, so my dad made me a metal bar that goes in the holes on the foot plate and keeps my heel off the tire. kinda gets in the way of the kick starter but I manage and it works really well

um well really i have. i just dont think its that big of a deal

yeah.. just wait until that happens going 60-70 through the woods or down a road.. you'll see what the hell i mean... and safety is a priority my idiotic friend. (safety sucks.. but just don't get your foot eaten off cuz that would just suck a fat one)

um i guess. but really if you are wearing safty gear.(boots) its not that bad. i will say in regular shoes it would suck. but its not me being and idiot. it just never really affected me not having the plastic heal guards.

i keep mine on cause i took them off once and my foot can get pulled into the tire so easily... i like the look without em but it aint worth getting your foot f*cked up bad id definately take them off if i had a +4 swingarm though..mines stock so ya..

ill get pics up soon you guys!
the blaster ones may be ugly but they could save your foot one day.
thats why i got a set of yfz! they look good and protect you

Well, I love mine but sadly they have broken.. many.. many.. many times.
Right now, they are on, but only with around 10 zip ties and a screw lol.

I would suggest keeping them for protection from the tires.

The pair of nerf bars I have are compatible with heel guards, so I have nerf bars and heel guards which is nice.

i have a friend who got his foot ate by a tire and screwed up his ankle and now hes walked with a horable wobble.i and him suggest heel gards

I would atleast keep the metal heal plates on. I have an 88 but I put pegs off of a 1990 something blaster on it so I could bolt heal plates up so my feet dont slip of and get ran over.

seeing that my kids ride the blaster. i wouldnt EVER think of taking that black plastic off of there no matter what it looked like. even if it were pink and purple polka dots.

yep thats totally true i watched a kid break his leg because it slipped off and got drug under the tire and totally stopped the quad
