Well ever since i got my quad all back together its only fired up twice and only for a second each time. I've cleaned the carb twice and gas is running two it just fine and i check the drain and it comes out just fine. Gets good spark and great compression. So whats the deal????? I've taken the plug out and its damp, so gas is getting to the cylinder but it wont light, what the heck could be the problem?
Choke doesn't help, pushing the throttle in doesn't help, no throttle doesn't help
It sounds like it wants to start but it wont, could it be a problem that is in my cold garage? I know it'll need to be up jetted for the winter, but it still seems like it should start
Any help would be great. I'll prolly start working on it again tomorrow night, or Friday afternoon.
Thanks.

they should be, they're practically brand new

being new dosent mean anything i would still check em out. your gas is turned on (lol), if you take the gas line off your carb does it flow freely from the tank? when you cleaned the carb did you take both jets out and spray them real good or just spray the whole carb? did you put the little plastic thingy back in the right spot? is you slide in correctly? soo many little things that could cause it.... good luck dude keep us posted.

Check your igntion timing, too! If the plug is wet, you are getting enough fuel to the cylinder for the engine to at least fire off. Pull the flywheel and make sure that the little key is present and intact. A sheared flywheel key will prevent the engine from starting, although it may attempt to run, or 'pop' every now and then. A spark test won't tell you if the key is sheared or not, because the plug will still fire. It just won't fire at the right time (when the piston has reached TDC), so the spark gets wasted.

always check your reeds just to be 100% sure. New ones can break first kick. check grounds and test your spark see if its bright or weak

I haven't taken the flywheel off, i figured it should be good, the whole motor was running before it was shipped to me, the only thing i did was a new piston and gaskets.
would it being freezing cold in my garage have anything to do with it or not?

try the reeds and flywheel and mabe try a new plug are you putting it against the enigine when u try to see if theres spark? cuz i could be grounding its self out
