Bent Steering Stem ?

Hey guys...

Just took a second look at my steering stem.. and looks like its a bit bent at the top where the bars connect... also im missing the two plastic gaskets that go into the grey plastic collar near the top as well...

Its not super bad.. but if you look closely.. you can see the bend....

so i assume this is something that needs to be replaced?? im not going to be racing my blaster.. all trails and road... but if it needs to be repalced.. ill add it to the list..

if its not kinked, you may be abe to have a machine shop fix it.

but it may be just as cheap to buy a used one on evilbay

no its not kinked the bent is pretty slight.. are those gaskets really important.. i have one of the two..doesnt look like anything special.. something i could get an autozone maybe??

Ill see if maybe we can bend it back a bit.. but i think that would do more damage then good cause the bend isnt very bad so it might weaken it more..

where do you live? steering stems are a dime a dozen here, sh*t i myself have 3 of em sitting in my garage...

I have the same problem, bent steering stem... Might just pick up a banshee stem off ebay and machine it down for the 'ol blasty
