I believe Ken is referring to the LA Big Block kit (the 240) having a different bolt pattern from the stock and Vito's bolt pattern.

A new sleeve (just iron sleeve pressed into the stock aluminum jug) doesn't require a different head pattern because the studs are in the aluminum part of the cylinder.
