are they interchangable with the stock blaster? what is the difference in the width?

Yes they are! I belive a shee axle gives you +3.
Do some searching around there is a diy on how to do it.

With blasters under 03' you need the banshee brake hub or a 03+ blaster brake hub, if its 03+ you can just swap it in.
