I just installed the banshee rear axle in my '02 blaster. I have a brake hub from the same banshee on the axle. Everything has gone together great, but the caliper will not bolt up now. Here is a pic:

So do I need to grind something down to make the caliper bolt up? I thought if you got the banshee hub this would be a bolt-in deal.

Thanks for the help.

The 88-02 calipers will work but you need to do some slight modding ot the caliper.Take the caliper mount off and you need to just grind off some of the material off of the back of it(fins).Install the mount back on the caliper. Then you need longer bolts and install it on the backside. There should be a little room for it to move on those bolts. In theory you want the caliper to slide on those bolts just like an 03-06,banshee,warrior etc would.Works like a charm.

oic i thought u put rear hydro brakes on as well

I do have hydros on all my bikes. But years ago before every forum member knew these answers I had to be the guinnea pig and figure it out myself.I always got vague answers and not much info until I brough it to light.I have done the front brake swaps and axle swaps every which way possible.

Awesome, thank you. Do you know of any writeups with pics to show what you are talking about?

Thanks.

There was one member who posted pics years ago after I helped him out,but I was unable to dig that thread up.I will take a look for it again but it was quite awhile ago and the forum has gone through some changes since then.I may have them on my computer also.Let me check.
