Anyone know what size they are? I am replacing my carrier bearings and need to know what to use to get them loose and retightened. What do you use for them?

i always use a pipe wrench or a HUGE ass set of channel locks so i can get some leverage. but thats got to be like a 2" wrrench or someshit lol

lol...Yeah thats how I got the ones loose when I parted out the other one but it marred up the nuts. May have to do the same thing again if I cant come up with anything else. I really dont want to drop the money on the Yamaha Wrench for them.

Thanks for the link. Helps to know the actual size. I may give it a shot with the pipe wrench since I already have one. If that doesnt work may have to buy the proper tool.

Yeah I asked everybody I know if anyone had an adjustable wrench that big and struck out. That's why I decided to ask here. Kinda funny I was thinking about using the pipe wrenches before asking here. Felt like a bit of a redneck way of doing it but looks like I am not the only redneck around here. lol

Hopefully they are not that stuck.. I have an old axle I can not get apart. I tried using heat with two 2 ft pipe wrenches and mad wd40.. Even tried using pipe on the ends.. maybe I should use map gas....

git-r-done! !

Yeah I hope not. Have not tried to loosen these yet. I am rebuilding my spare carrier so that all I have to do is swap it out. Make it a little quicker. The ones on my part out were pretty stuck. I used PB Blaster and a propane torch. Took a couple cycles but the axle was already off the bike. I am going to loosen these before I take the carrier off the swingarm and give myself so extra leverage.

yah, i'll tell u what, i'm never buyin axle nut wrencheds again, in the wrench pack, theres 2 wrenches, a full one, then one thats slightly cut off, the cut off one flexes adn slips off when u put the torque on it, so i said f it and grabbed the pipe wrench, haha
