Hey guys I recently went for a nice ride this monday on labor day with some buddies. Well to make a long story short one of the buddies of mine was an inexpierence rider and hit a rock and clipped my back tire as I was passing him doing about 35-40.I went flying and rolled about 200 feet yet got up and walked away with no bruises or cuts. My Blaster suffered though so now I need to either bend the rear axle back into place or replace it. I also tried to post or reply to some people in the for sale wanted section but it says I do not have permission. Why is that? Thanks all input is appreciated!

Hey glad to hear your alright. As for the axle, how bad is it? You can tweak back minor bends but the axle will not be straight and will not be as strong. You can prolly pick one up cheap on ebay, or even on here. Or if your feeling adventurous you can get a banshee axle and brake hub and throw it in. The wanted section thing is because your new, you need to be a supporting member with 30 posts or a regular member with 300 posts, if im not mistaken.

If i were you, i would save myself the hassle, and the time, and just go on ebay and pick your self up a +2+4 g-force axle. You can get them shipped to your door for $180. Or if your on a budget do what blanshee man said and get yourself a banshee axle or just get a stock blaster axle.

i think i still have my stock axle. if your interested. it is in perfectly fine condition. i bought a durablue axle and want to get rid of it. the stock one is off of my 98 blaster. send me a pm if your interested.

It is time for a banshee axle and brake hub.If you want to save some money and your blaster is an 88-02 then I have one that I will sell.Just send me a p.m. if interested. If you are unsure or want more info on the shee axle swap just do a search and there is plenty of info on it here.

thanks for all the info. I have a quick question if i go wit hthe banshee axle is it wider than blaster? I also need to know if i need new tire hubs? I have a 2001 yamaha blaster thanks!

the banshee is plus three and some change. The only thing other than the axle that you need to do the swap is a banshee brake hub

No the hub does not float, that is why you need it. It puts you in a real good position to mount hyro's, but if you still want cable brakes you can make them work with minor mods

sadly no, many others including me have fabbed brackets to mount them to our blasters. ^^ the only hub you need is the banshee brake hub

this bracket welded to the frame to mount the master cylinder to

this one to mount the rear caliper too

YOU DONT NEED BANSHEE HUBS!!!! blaster hubs fit a banshee, and vice versa. banshee axle will fit, just need its brake hub. and its wider. much cheaper than buying an aftermarket axle. if you can make the hydro brakes work, do it. blaster brakes are terrible. all 3 of them. the rear tends to fail, and the fronts...well mechanical drum vs hydro disc....i think ill take the hydro disc any day.

be careful when buying axles...b4 installation always make sure its straight..even brand new aftermarkets....i bought a g-force...it was bent from the factory, and i didnt find that out till i put it on the dyno.

roll it on a flat surface....probly the easiest way, youll know if its bent that way.

Hey would it be easier to get a carrier off a 2003 to 2006 blaster to fit hydros to my 2001 blaster with the shee axle

thats what i did an it worked great the banshee calliper bolts right up to the newer carrier you just need to make a bracket to mount the master cylinder you will need another brake pedal or mod the stock one i used a tri-z pedal just have to bend it a lil bit
