i have a set of ASR lower control arms up for grabs. was an extra set that i got with my full set to help the adjustment out a little better. i tried them on and ended up liking the first set better. they do have a couple marks from mock up.

btw, these are the +3+1 long travel set powder coated Yamaha Blue. They fit 88-06 Yamaha Blasters.

i get 8" awk. btw, i edited the first post to say that these are the long travel model. slipped my mind when i first posted.

sorry bro, thats sounds aweful close to the 7+ inch, supposed longtravel bottoms i already have, that do not work with my 16" yfz triple rates
so just worked a deal to trade these yfz triple rates for some remote rezzie elka's !!!!!!

yeah, awk i have the same triple rates you have or had. work great with these arms.

Those bottoms will work with yfz 16.25 " shocks, thats what there made for.

to my knowledge there are no yfz shocks made that are 16.25... yfz shocks are 15.75" unless they are longtravel or the newer yfz MX shocks that are around 18".

honda 250r and 400ex quads use a 16.25" front shock. i would like to know what shock these longtravel blaster arms are setup for..just out of curiosity.

awk that measurement you aksed about for stock length shocks is right around 7.125" (7 and 1/8)"...so if these are a little over 8" i would say the 1.250" longer yfz shocks would work great on these arms. i dont know about using the 16.25" 250r shocks though seeing as how they are 1.750" longer than blaster stock shocks.

good luck with your sale. i just wanted to clear things up a bit for a buyer. this is a great deal.

well since tater chimed in, whoever buys these could prolly talk him into building tops to match ??????

awk i can build almost anything as long as the customer doesnt mind spending a little cash. look at the shock mount on these ones..they are def. more toward the spindle than yours. i can tell just from the pics.

I purchased these a arms from asr and gave them the dimensions eye to eye of 16.25 and they said there long travel arms are built for that paticular size. The shocks were works aftermarket exactly 16.25 and were on a yfz set up for 16.25 as well. You can call ASR and ask them what size shock there LT arms are built for and they will confirm this as well. Anyone who buys them just needs the tops made for a 16.25 and there good to go.

Were these setup for banshee spindles as well?

Blaster lower ball joint mounts and banshee lower ball joint holes are at a different angle and I would not consider them compatible (they're about 9° different). If the arms were made for the banshee spindles, the threaded bung is at less of an angle than if they are made for blaster spindles.

Just from the picture, it looks like they are banshee spindle arms.

ok good info here.. i didnt know yfzs used a 16.25 for a longtravel setup. i figured they would have been longer seeing as how stock yfz shocks are 15.75.

there are so many used shocks and a arms floating around that we need to be sure what we are buying before getting something that doesnt work.

bump for a great deal

According to mike that works at ASR these lowers will work with Blaster spindles with a heim joint on the bottom. The top when built will have to be made with the pinch bolt set up on top for blaster and the proper length to allow proper caster adjustment. There are several hundred people running these lowers with that bung angle with heim joints and zero problems according to him. Myself i would rather run heim joints than ball joints anyways. These will work on a blaster if the tops are built right.

I aint sure that many YFZ owners use 16.25 length either for longtravel. I do know that this paticular YFZ is now running super long 3 stage elkas on custom arms now. I guess its how much money you want to spend on suspension determines your set up. I sure cant afford a set of elkas like that or i would ditch my works for a longer elka set up as well.
