I need tons of parts for a 1983 Honda XL 200R Dirt/Street Bike that I just brought home.
Anyone know where I can find parts?

Hi! thanks! Hopefully I can get it all fixed up and ready to ride over the winter.

I need
Gas shutoff valve
Speedometer
Speedometer cable
Front Fender
Rear Fender
Front Brake Handle
Right side plastic cover
The cover that goes over the sprocket on the motor
Rear tire
Chain & Sprockets
Battery
Passenger foot pegs
Both Rear Turn signals
None of the Turn signals work (wiring issue?)

I am sure there will be more needed as this stuff is just the obvious.

The dang thing seems to run good. I gave $200 for it. Here's a Pic

Today I went all through it and it appears the back wheel is a little bent (loose spokes?). My Dad says most motorcycle shops can fix the wheel. The float in carb sticks so I will need to rebuild it.
The major problem I found is that there is a slight knock in first gear only. I squeeze the clutch and it stops, let go of clutch and it's back. All other gears are fine, no noise at all. So I am thinking could be a chipped gear or broken tooth? I am sick about having to tear into the motor. The thing purrs so nice.
I will have to buy a shop manual, and I see there are 2 different ones, what manual do you guys suggest?

Oh, and I ordered a front brake lever (handle) today. $11.90 shipped.

Just got a brand new dual sport on/off road rear tire for it off ebay $31 shipped. I'll get a new tube and prolly a front tire and tube too. Looks like the swing arm may be bent. I'll report back on that.

Still need both fenders, passenger foot pegs and some other spare parts.

Sold the bike today. Made about $150 on it.
The guy was thrilled. He is gonna fix it up and ride on!
