Just curious if anyone else on here is running a linux distribution. I'm running openSUSE 11.3 and love it. I:I I'll get some screenshots up if people show interest. For those that don't know what Linux is, it is an operating system that is FREE :o and takes much less resources then Windows.

I run mac, but have been thinking about trying linux out

When I first got linux installed, I really didn't like it... but now that I have everything set up, it's great. I had Mac for a while but I uninstalled it because it corrupted my Windows installation too often. Lol.

Software Manager - You can check mark any program you want installed and it automatically downloads and installs it:

It's a really good alternative to Windows or Mac.

Mac ftw! lol....i love my Macbook pro and will never ever ever go back to a Windows....I wouldnt mind having another laptop or desktop with Linux, seems pretty cool and i wouldnt mind learning how to do everything on it

Mac and Linux are strangely alike in my opinion. Both do have their differences, though.

Linux will be my next adventure... I'm loving the look of mint.
Well look into all of the distributions of linux. Like I said, this is openSUSE 11.3, there are tons of other distributions: red hat, ubuntu, mint, fedora, debian... do your research. I liked this because it seemed very laptop friendly and ran easy but still had a lot of nice visual effects like transparency and stuff.

thats linus:), lol, Linux is pretty sweet, I have played around with unbuntu dual boot on my PC, but if you game a lot sometimes you get a lot of compatability errors.

Been running some form of linux or unix for about 15 years. No viruses. no one targets linux ;)

Did you ever look into Wine? It's a great program that makes a lot of windows programs run on Linux and Mac. I:I

I've heard of it, and there is a couple other programs out there that I have heard mixed review on. Since I just did it on a dual boot system I just ran on windows when I wanted to game, and unbuntu when I felt bored.
