another wont start topic

I did about 30 won't go past 110. It started first kick today. I ran it with choke open for some reason with choke closed it revs to redline but will run fine all daywith choke up. First and second gear it didn't feel strong then half way thru third I had full power. My gas is 32 to 1 using 93 I pulled my plug and its covered in oil should I lean it out.

Did you check your reeds yet because it sounds like it stills runs....Thats all I'm going to say but I could be wrong , I have no idea what the inside of your engine looks like.

runs good with the choke on????? sounds like you need to clean your carb out , not the entire problem but a good reason its not starting easy.
if your compression is 110 now, you have a short time left with the engine before devestation. hows your budget for the blaster?
when my engine only had 110 psi i took it to Ken O'Conner to get freshened up before the top end went on me. always a good idea to frehen a top end before something fails and sends little bits into the crank. call him up or send him a pm on here. his website is in my sig

reeds are fine, none cracked or gapped to much and the carb i cleaned about 3 times already since last week hoping i missed something but thats not the case. how much does he charge on average for just the top end i have an alright budget but im not looking for the fastest quad out of my friends, just something i can enjoy and let take a beating with out being all pissy if something breaks because i droped a thousand into it.

i think that the most expensive part of it is the piston, but Ken wont dick you around and tell you that you need stuff you dont. i would send him a pm and try to talk to him and explain your problem. if you want good honest work thats done right call Ken and let him do his thing

I had the same issue with my Blaster. Just a tip, Autozone will let you borrow an actual compression tester to take home and check your machine. You have to leave a deposit but still much better than buying one to use once a year.

Just spraying it with a little carb clean might not do the job :o .Completely dissassemble it and soak it for a good long while. Actually look to be sure the pilot jet is open, it has a real little hole. Blow all passages out, choke hole on side, tube in bowl. Set float level. I:I
