Wheres the best place to get one, and whats a good one to get? Im going back to a stock airbox setup and ditching the pod filter and I need a good Uni filter?

I know theres some on ebay, if you guys could post some links for me that would be great. I honestly dont know what its even supposed to look like. I just know my stock thing has a cage the filter goes over.

Sounds like you already have the cage?

UNIs are nice. $26.95 (free shipping)

But I'm thinking about trying these from the same guy for about half the price. Maxima makes good filter oil, and now they are making two-stage foam filters, very similar to UNIs. I like the rubber grommet.

Don't forget sealing grease! I didn't realize how important it was until I started trying to figure out where dirt was getting into my motor.

i was running a k&n for a long time until recently i ditched the stock airbox and went with a uni on the back of my carb. but yeah maxima makes good filter oil. its waterproof and i had to was my hands about 5 times to get it off

I bought the Maxima one royalt posted.

Now if he will just give me the pictures of what he did to the stock airbox tube to get it to work with the PWK28mm carb we both have, Ill be great and he can get his 36mm carb sooner.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

That Maxima filter was junk. I only got 2 washes out of it before the seams started to come unglued.

Looks like the UNI is still the best. I know it isnt your fault Tony. Dont feel bad. I tried it out, and now Im warning the community. Mine could have been a faulty one, but all the seams were intact, and all I cleaned it with was the Maxima filter cleaner I bought cause that filter is a Maxima.

No bueno.
