Does anyone know what the deal is with after market axles ? If the rear brake hubs from either pre 03 or 03+ are interchangeable ? are there different aftermarket axles for pre 03 and 03+ or are they the same axle ? Im looking into a used after market axle but they say it fits 88-06 but the brake hub looks to be a pre 03 going by what I see as that it has the dust seals ?? and 03+ oem axles dont have them. Im not sure on the aftermarket axles since I've never had one.

Well from the companies they sell 2 different versions for the new and old style. so im going to say they are different
the g-force (now tusk) from rocky mountian atv, use a series of spacers that allow the same axle to be used on all cable or hydro brake blasters, and also banshees and raptors....same axle & part #

Most aftermarket axles have 2 snap ring grooves on the brake side. The concept is that for the early blaster, the snap ring goes in the innermost groove and inboard from that is a ring that goes up against the bearing and also has the seal surface on it. For the late Blaster and all Banshees, the snap ring goes in the outermost groove with a ring inboard from it and the brake hub goes against it. The rings may be different from each other. The seal surface for the late style is on the brake hub. Some axles may not have the innermost snap ring groove and can only be used on late Blaster and Banshee.
The brake hubs are different between early and late. Late Blaster is the same as all Banshee brake hubs.
