Got my GPS out today, wanted to clock the blasty and got 62.5, i maybe could of got 63.5 but it was winding pretty hard. Is that pretty decent considering my mods? I dont have any major mods yet... But is that pretty good? I was thinking it was running about 70 so i had to test it with the GPS..

did you do your port/polish,or have somebody do it ? Aside from that and your filter i would say you are basically running stock out put. I was always under that impression that a stock blaster was only good for a MAYBE 55 with a small rider. (thats what the yamaha place told me)

dude thats a damn nice speed i say get a new pipe v-force reeds 14/40 gearing and you will be pulling somewhere around 65-70 im guessing which would definitley scare the sh*t out a stock 450

you can have all the power in the world but your gearing is whats going to give you top speed

yb its not all gearing if it was all just gearing then if a ktm200xc was to race a blaster and they both had the same gearing they would have the same top speed?

Ya the port polish was a DIY i got off MCdizzys website, i did that while waiting on the new piston to show up. I weigh 165 which isnt real heavy for a blaster i dont think. I am checking in to some new gearing though..

your forgetting some things..... like the actual gearing in the tranny and tire size.... sprockets are only a part of the picture and imho he's spot on

i love playing in the snow but my kendas sucked in the snow gotta try flipping them or maybe some day pick up a cheap old set of paddles

Haha i moved to Ohio from Texas so i aint liking the snow too much.. I like this cool Ohio summer though... Sweet......

oh i see lol still you got to try it riding in the winter and sliding around is just awesome. just make sure your wearing all under armour jeans sweatshirt heavy jacket really warm gloves(trust me on that its not fun riding in the freezing winter with the wind blowing in your face and the only thing on your hands are a pair of fingerless gloves. freeze your hand for a good while) tube socks or just 3 pairs of noraml socks some sort of waterproofboots a some sort of facemask helmet and googles

i have to do that here in louisiana for winter it dosnt snow much but it gets pretty cold and humid at the same time, it sucks acually

blaster for blaster ........if one is all modded out and one is all stock considering they both have the same tire size and gearing they will top out at the same speed the modded one will get there faster but the top speed will be the same...just because you have a bbk or vforce reeds or a pipe or whatever you will run the same top speed you will just get there faster....only way to get more top speed would be to get bigger tires or diff sprockets (gearing) thank you i'll be here all day LMAO

relly i dindnt know that. i thoght the modded one would be faster. but i guess if u relly think about it it kinda makes sence

the modded one will be faster to get to top speed and the stock one would be slower to get to top speed but in the end they will both have the same top speed if what i stated above is the same

The modded one will probably rev out higher so would have a higher top speed.
