Hi everyone,
First I wanted to present myself I am a 46 years old kid and I really enjoy rebuilding stuff...
Secondly I really enjoy this forum and you guys are great and I am learning so much from reading the various posts.
anyhow I just purchased a 2006 special edition blaster and it was running fine. I went on vacation for 3 weeks came back and nada no spark not firing up completely dead...
I tested all switches for continuity and all work great
I tested the spark plug with a multimeter and it reads good values it's brand new
I removed the flywheel and I noticed some odd things, to start with ALL magnet screws were loose and the magnets are shattered, still holding (barely) in place but are broken and out fo wack... the screws were rattling around the flywheel
I will be replacing the flywheel .
My issue is different when i do a test to the stator using a multimeter I get the correct values :
Rd/White on Black 20 Ohms for the pickup switch
Red/Black on Black = no reading BUT Red Black on Green/white I get 252 Ohms
My stator has 5 wires
So my question to you is :
Can the lack of spark come from the wacked off magnets ?
Is it normal that I get no reading from the Black/red on Black and only from the Black/red on Green/white ?
Any info is more than welcome before I investigate further
Tx a lot
