Ok, dumb question, but I couldn't root out an answer with the 'search' button. I'm planning on getting a 400ex rear shock, but I also need either a CFM or PB aluminum airbox, thanks to all the sand around here.

I've heard that the rezzy on the 400ex shock may hit the airbox? Is this true? Or is it only true if you're running the stock airbox? (which, on my Blaster, has already been cut out of the rear fenders) Thanks for any input! :)

ask awk. he has a CFM with the 450 shock. it's about the same i believe except the 400 has a smaller rezzy.

the project blaster box has a less angle intake tube and may interfere with either the 400/450 shock, the cfm box has a 3 angle intake tube and will clear either shock rezzie
just get the cfm from that guy on ebay that has "make an offer" word is he'll take $75

heres my cfm with the offset rezzie of the 450r shock, looks like plenty of room to
clear the "centered" rezzie of the 400ex..........................

How close does that 450R shock get to that hydraulic reservoir on big jumps? :o

Real good info guys! Thanks; I'll be getting the CFM airbox. I was also debating a 400ex vs a 450r rear shock, and that pic by AWK made up my mind. 400ex it is. Plus, I'm only 155lbs and ride trails, so I don't need an extremely stiff rear shock.

that 450r shock was smooth as butter, not stiff as reported by some, they must not know how to turn the adjusters to "S"
and apparently that rezzie doesn't even try to come close to the rezzie, hence no marks on it from the biggest jumps possible, the marks visible in the pic are from the stock airbox
that shock, served me well for 2 years but is now gone, replaced by a remote rezzie works ultra cross
