28mm carb fitment help

thanks so much for the info . imma try the heat gun thing first since i have one if its to hard il just go buy the pipe . would the pipe setup seal water and mud good ?

Mine does, but where you cut it affects how good of a fit you end up with. I cut mine three times before I got back to where the pipe fit in nicely. Of course there is a clamp there too, and if you have any doubts, you could always clean the inside surface real well (carb cleaner) and use silicone RTV to fill any possible gaps. I didn't RTV mine (fits good) because I take the carb out alot and it is handy to be able to loosen it there.

what you guys think??

alright i finally started it up . itll idle for a lil then its idle slower and slower and shut off . is there anything i need to adjust or maybe a idle jet ? which screw adjustes the idle ? im waiting it to cool down now to check the spark plug

the black screw that comes out at an angle is the idle screw, i'd screw it in a little to raise the idle speed

You can try the idle air mixture screw. Little brass recessed screw, down on the left side of the carb inlet. You might end up needing a larger pilot, the one that comes in it is only a 38.

Is it dying with the choke pulled out?

You get this bike running right? I just put that carb on my kids bike. Lots easier to tune than a stocker, or the Banshee carb that was on it.
