hey i recentley got a 250r shock from an 86 trike off ebay. after a little modification, i got it mounted up, but it raises the rear up 3 inches. do you think it would b a good idea to use it since it raises it up so much. also, i checked the pressure in the ressy with a tire pressure gague, n it said 50 psi. Shoudl there be more pressure in the ressy?

I believe you bought the wrong year of shock. I think the older ones are three inches longer. Not sure of the exact pressure (im guessing around 130) but by Pressing the shrader valve you have blown the charge!
