Well basically I came across a 06 that had seen far better days. The engine was blown, everything from the cases to the frame and a arms some dumbass painted with the rattle can, worn sprockets, bad a arms, worn tires, u name it this thing was hit.
I've been parting out blasters for awhile so I got pretty much every spare part needed, that's made this really easy and a real fast rebuild. Usually I only deal with later years, being a 06 I figured it's got as much value running good as it does parted out.
To start i completely tore down the blaster and listed the bottom and top end in 2 separate eBay auctions, made back every penny I had into it and then some. Also pulled off every part that had damage or a sh*tty rattle can paint job. I did some work with the wire wheel got the axle and foot pegs looking like new. I had a nice 02 bottom end on the shelf and a top with a fresh bore so I took those and the nicest side covers I had and put together a nice engine. Installed tors removal and oil injection block off.
Replaced: carb, throttle, shocks, a arms, coil, tires, front brake pads , complete rear brake assembly, wiring harness, grab bar, tail light,All the cables, and more.
I'll have pics up soon, it's nice to restore one for a change, I'm probably more capable then most sense I'm parting them out, itsnice to have a wide selection for every part needed. I'm hoping to sell this for around 1300 it will be almost all profit aside from labor but the labor has just been fun.
