if it was the cdi i would think there would be no spark because all the cdi is a capaciter discharge just like points in a small engine they either work or they dont theres no really inbetween at least i never seen one go bad and a moter still have spark
yea, the cdi will give no spark. it sounds like a timing issue. so get out there and heat your garage up, and check the flywheel.
also 12Xpsi is good for a blaster but not all 2-strokes.
