1994 Blastered the engine - options to replace/go faster?

The listing says the head needs to be re-worked 2mm for clearance, can you please elaborate on what needs to be done to the bottom end?

A +4 crank will just not have enough room to fit in the case.

The crancase has to be machined to allow for the extra sized crank to revolve, the process is commonly called trenching.

Can anyone confirm the requirement for bottom end work? According to the KB Motorsports web site, the 4mm Hot Rods crank requires the head to be re-worked 2mm but it doesnt mention the case at all...?

Also, which carb jet should I run with the 240 head and 4mm stroker kit? I have to replace my reed valve anyway so anything special I should look for there?

Seems like you have a lot of questions. You have got a lot of good answers. The trick is to use the search button. A lot of people have gone through exactly what your going through and it's all posted on this site.

That being said, how much money do you want to spend???? You should run a bigger carb with a BBK. Like 34mm-36mm. I agree with AWK, I think hot rods is a better crank. You have to trench the cases and mill the head. It all comes down to how much money you want to spend and how you ride. Work yourself up a budget and then ask for opinions.

Im still looking for the definitive answer on the Hot Rods +4mm crank. Many people here on the forum say it requires trenching the bottom end however according to the manufacturer (I called them) it only requires adding 2mm clearance to the head.

Which info is correct?
