I have this 1988 blaster which is the 195 I guess they call it the 200 right , anyhow the guy i got it from told me it is a 4 stroke, , I drained the oil and refilled he had almost 2 full qt in it , way to much ,there was no oil mix in the fuel tank so it takes crankase oil 4 stroke right, LMK

yea just get some 2stroke oil .. there may not be any oil in the gas tank cause it still may have the oil injection, if it does the oil tank will be on the back of the quad under like the grab bar it should have oil in it ..

maybe that is why he burned out the piston no 2 stoke in fuel or no tank on it for it to inject from little tank ,it does hold about 1 1/2 qt of reg oil in crankcae , I thought 2 strokes used no oil this way unlesss it is for the clutch and this should take clutch oil right .what kind , he had reg motor oil in it , give me some insight ,I must get a book on this thing .and what is the fuel oil ratio mix for this ,thanks for the responses ,I am getting the bore done as we speak should be done by monday , what is the going price to get the bored out , roughly this guy is charging me $65 that sounds a little sttep for that .another question how hard is it to put a new sleeve in it ( change it) ,a new one cost about $85 on ebay

yup np .. u need to use gear oil just go to a atv dealer .. i use bel-ray 80w i think it is , just drain the oil u put in by the drain plug m and i think it takes 75oz of gear oil , that seems about right to get it bored out to the next size .. i;m not sure about resleeving.. i run 32:1 oil ration with caster 924 its great btw and smells good too lol .. and u will need to pick up a new piston if u get it bored out i would go with wiseco .. they have them on For ATV Performance Parts Like Wiseco Pistons And Rings Choose RJATV good price 2 ..

thanks for the info ,and I am getting the piston form them just have to wait to see how much it is going to be bored to it was not to bad .we shall see , I needed the information to get it right , thanks again ,great site .

For it complete top end rebuild with all machine work and parts it should cost you between $175 and $210. Remember you need a piston, rings, bearing, gasket kit and a new plug.
