1981 Kawasaki (quick help)

I'm looking at a '81 Kawi Snowmobile that needs a ring and a coil, does this sound like good deal to anyone? I could probably get it for $50 - $100, but I intend to use it.

Don't know much about it, I believe its a 340.

anything you can get running and bomb around for $100 is a good deal. i would scoop it up. if its a invader or intruder you are in luck as i rode a invader my whole childhood lol I:I

I would do it. It's so cheap, you could do so much with it. And, a snowmobile is a snowmobile. I mean, it's probly only good for riding around not much for speed. But who cares haha.

could I find parts for it anywhere? would a coil and a ring be specific to that sled or universal to others?

all in all, how much do you think I would be into this sled to get it running? I know an excellent shop that will probably have the parts on site if they're universal.

well they arnt exactly universal but ive needed parts for my grandfathers '79 and have never had too much of a issue. assuming all is good with the cooling system it could be a nice cheap fairly quick hill bomber. they were great sleds back in thier day

I just was talking to the guy, the hood, track, seat, and skis are good, its just the 1 ring, and the coil, and maybe a headlight bulb.

Even if hes bullshitting, I can part it out for about $300. probably going to pick it up later. pics to come.
