1979 yz250 for 100 bucks :D

hmm, can get a new intake manifold on bikebandit for 86 bucks, i'm gonna make a cl ad for parts and see what i can get

Welp your already learning how to get parts for an old bike.
You need to find the OEM intake part # and do a google search on it.
Most likely it was used on more then 1 bike for example the IT250 uses it and prolly the DT250.
Use that info to hunt Ebay for one.

You have a 2k7 intake which was used on the YZ250's from 1977-79. The 1979 YZ250, IT250, IT400, YZ400, all use this intake.
I use the same one on my 400.

Nice find!! I:I You'll be amazed how technoligy has changed. The YZ in your sig has more travel on one end than my Elsinore has on both together. :o
Is that reed valve or piston port?

That pipe looks like a power pros for a blaster if it was on the other side and was made for a blaster and had more cuts and.welds I think power pros got there idea of a head pipe off of this design

okay, updated, took off all the plastics, frame is in rlly good condition, may need a tad bit of touch up here and there, gonna use some hi temp paint on the pipe cause its nasty on one side, need to get to work on the plastics and clean them up as good as possible, gotta pick up a new air filter... found a guy with 2 complete parts bikes, and another guy who has the intake/reedblock :D gonna pick that up off the dude, and gonna get whatever else i need from the dude with the parts bikes, bought a new oem replacement stator cover yesterday......

Nice man! You found those parts pretty quick!! Should be a riot to ride.

yah man, found a vintage motorcycle swap meet site, lotsa helpful guys, and yes, should be fun to ride, it'll just be my leisure rider, and bike to show off, haha, it'll prolly never see air time or any crazy hard riding, just gonna be for dickin around...... lol

Well, went and did some more cleaning on the bike and found that the swingarm bearings are shot, but that's fine cause I gotta take off the swinger to put on a new roller for the chain anyways.

alright, slowly makin a list of every part i need to get it back together, then gonna give the dude with 2 parts bikes a call and see what he has :D

Good job keeping it together. If it was me, that motor would be in my other Blaster frame. Garage queen.lol. I have my umbrella open looking out for awk.

lmao, and don't think that it hasn;t crossed my mind to slap this in a different frame, lol, if this frame ever breaks its time to build a shifter kart or a rlly custom quad, lol

i'm starting to get the feeling i made a realllly good descision buying this thing, since the exhaust is off i decided to have a look up the exhaust port ( which is suprisingly big)and to my suprise, the cylinder walls has no scuffs and look to have been freshly honed, then i pushed the kicker down and made the piston come up, and the piston also has no scuffs and looks to be brand new, so i'm guessing that when the person rebuild the bottom end on this thing they also did the top end :D
