Just ordered new carb to get a sick blaster running right so i checked the compression and its at about 115, should i leave it alone or do the top end?? I know everyone says 120+ is ok but do you think 115 will be sufficient untill i can splurge for a big bore?

i think 115 would be fine for now. ^^ that would be a good idea, but if its enough to start and run, it should be fine for a while. but how long will it be until you get the bb kit?

Not sure when i will get a BB kit. I think i will ride it for a while and see how i like it and decide what to do next if i dont like the power output. I am the type to go all the way or nothing. I might wait till tax time and send it off for a complete BB stroker/ port job. I really dont even know if i like it yet.

I do like the fact that its a very simple motor to rebuild but this is my first 2 stroke i have owned. I might ride it and not like it, its hard to say. I have rebuilt several top ends on 2 strokes with great success but never one of my own.

I traded a 4 stroke dirtbike for it just for something to tinker with. Most likely i will get it running great and trade for another tinker toy. Time will tell.
