02 yamaha blaster

What problems are you having?
What have you done already to solve the problems?
What modifications do you have to the motor/bike?
What jets are in the carb?

the problem im having is the kickstart peddle is stuck.
what i have done already is i have replaced the kickstart peddle and gear
the only mod is an fmf pipe
it is jetted correctly with 260 main and a 32.5 pilot with the needle on the third slot.

btw, sorry i didnt mean fuel injector i ment riding with the CHOKE out. sorry for the confusion and i have the fuel injector blocked off i mix 32:1 and can somone tell me what type of oil i can get from harbor freight that would be good to use in the blaster? actually im thankful my blaster didnt run when i put only gas in it and didnt mix it would of caused a lot of problems. so i cleaned the gas tank out and im going to put 89 octane in it and looking for an oil to put in it :) while i was down there i checked out my piston and rod very carefully i inspected every single piece of it and it looks in working condition abosultly no cuts or nags in it.

The kick starter is stuck? When you put the kick starter in was the gear assembled correctly? There is a white plastic collar that has a slot in it. If this piece is not aligned with the slot and fully seated it will not work. Check this and post results.

Have you performed a plug chop to confirm the jetting.

Although FMF recommends a #260 it is not big enough if you run premix at 32:1.

32:1 ratio require a 1 size larger jet to compensate for the oil in the gas.

If the weather is cold you may even need a larger main again!

No stay at 32:1, but increase the size of the main jet.

If you put oil into the fuel, the ratio of fuel decreases therefore the air fuel ratio is gas lean and can cause detonation and overheating.

Colder temps act the same way, the colder the temp a larger jet is needed to keep the motor from starving for gas.

Any changes to jetting should be confirmed by a plug chop.

Plug chop.

Warm up motor to operating temp.

Fit new B8ES plug, ride through the gears and hold WOT in 5th or 6th gear for 10 seconds, or as long as you can safely.

Switch off the motor and pull in the clutch, roll to a stop.

Take the plug out and replace the old one for the ride home.

Carefully cut the threaded end off the plug to expose the insulator.

There should be a smoke ring of a cardboard or biscuit colour around the insulator.

If it is non existant or a very light colour, you are lean and require a larger main jet.

If it is a lot darker you are rich and may go down a size in main.

I prefer to run a little on the darker side, I may loose a little power but it is worth it for the peace of mind that I won't need a rebuild so soon.

This is a good to go plug.

This one is a little rich, but I would run it, I like to be on the safe side.

You have to get up a reasonable speed so that you can get the motor to pull strongly.

Then hold it Wide Open Throttle (WOT) for 10 secs or as long as you can.

The idea is not to get speed but to make it pull strong at full throttle to get onto the main jet curcuit.

I find I can safely do it on a short run by applying the brakes some.

If you have not enough room you can use 4th or 5th gear with good results.

roger that! i still gotta put new gas and oil in it u know any places where i can get oil from? theres no motorcross or motrycyle thing here for miles i got harbor freight, home depot, lowes

i'd suggest you order your oil online, rockymountainatv.com or ebay.
do not cheap out for some chainsaw, weedeater or marine oil, they are not made for air cooled 2 stroke dirt machines.

can't go wong with this...............
