i have a 01 blaster and when i start it in first gear it seems to roll a lil bit and not wanna start and also when it is started its hard to put it into neutral i was wondering if i just need a new clutch or new bottom end

Does it start fine in neutral? My blaster didn't like to be started in gear. Finding neutral can be difficult too, easier on some blasters and harder on others. I imagine that your quad is fine.

itll start fine in neutral but it seems like it doesnt wanna go up from first when started i have to move the quad a lil bit then itll go into neutral or second

Sounds like you have wear spots on your clutch basket and your fluid needs a good flush and refill , Flush it out refill and see if it helps , if not then you probably need new clutch plates and some sanding or filing of the clutch basket

If you want to put it in neutral, why not just start it in neutral? If it's hard to get to, try doing it with some lighter shoes and don't use the tip of your boot, you will put too much leverage on it and it will just go into second. Maybe the reason that it won't go into neutral is the protection system in the clutch working. If you are driving and stop in fifth, then try to go down to first, the shift lever will either lock up or seperate from the transmission because it needs momentum to shift (same thing on a bicycle, you have to be pedaling to shift gears).

well its definetly not my shoes i know how to put it into neutral it just wont go in and im glad to hear all it could be is a new clutch how much usually for a new clutch and labor btw im rebuilding my whole quad so its all in pieces right now so i cant really try anyting

Could be the cable as well , But wear on the basket will make the clutch hard to pull in , and hard to find neutral and other gears , Id start with the easy part first , Clutch cable adjustment , trans fulid or oil whichever , and then actual plates or basket issues !!

i have no way of checking anyhting cause its all already apart should i just have someone put in a new clutch

well if its tore down might as well , its only about 50 for a clutch kit , most people can do it themselves , there's a video on you tube and I'm sure its on here too !

yeah but you said soemthing about saving down parts and checking for stuff i dont know anything about clutches

yea very simple. if its appart already, rub ur fingure on the clutch basket and see if u can feel any bumps. if u do, take a flat file, and start fileing them down very little... just enough to get the, smooth and no rough peaks or vallies. it will help a little, but just make sure u do vey little at a time all the way around.
